Cub Scout Section
The Cub Pack is made up of Boys and Girls between the
ages of 8 – 10½, meeting in the Scout Hut on Wednesdays at
8.00pm. The Cubs Scouts are split into smaller groups called
Sixes and take part in a wide range of interesting and challenging
activities. A Cub Scout meeting consists of games and activities with
plenty of time spent outdoors.
There are loads of FUN! things that you can do as a Cub
Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like
swimming, exploring, computing and collecting, all going towards earning
Cub Scout badges. Additionally as a Cub Scout in 1st Datchet Sea Scout
Group you will also get the chance to do kayaking and canoeing in the
Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to
places like the zoo, theme parks, farms and even Gilwell Park (the home
of UK Scouting). Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest
of your Pack, sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities.
